- DDDDEEEESSSSCCCCRRRRIIIIPPPPTTTTIIIIOOOONNNN
- AAAAmmmmdddduuuummmmpppp switches to the appropriate Amanda configuration
- directory, e.g. /usr/freeware/etc/amanda/_c_o_n_f_i_g, then
- attempts to back up every disk specified by the _a_m_a_n_d_a._c_o_n_f
- file. AAAAmmmmdddduuuummmmpppp is normally run by ccccrrrroooonnnn.
-
- If file /usr/freeware/etc/amanda/_c_o_n_f_i_g/hold exists, aaaammmmdddduuuummmmpppp
- will wait until it is removed before starting the backups.
- This allows scheduled backups to be delayed when
- circumstances warrant, for example, if the tape device is
- being used for some other purpose. While waiting, aaaammmmdddduuuummmmpppp
- checks for the hold file every five minutes.
-
- See the _a_m_a_n_d_a(8) man page for more details about Amanda.
